A 61-year-old man was arrested after allegedly using his mobile phone to record underneath a female fan's skirt during Texas A&M's season opener against Missouri State at Kyle Field.
The incident happened on Saturday, 5 September, in Section 338 as thousands of supporters packed the stadium for the college football game. Texas A&M University Police later announced the arrest on its official X account.
'Invasive Visual Recording. Section 338. Subject used phone to record under skirt of female. Arrested,' the department wrote, using the hashtag associated with the game.
According to an arrest report obtained by KBTX, off-duty Bryan police officers providing security at the stadium were alerted by a witness who claimed they had seen a man recording up a woman's shorts. Officers subsequently located the suspect near a handicap-accessible ramp and allegedly saw him holding his phone towards a woman above him.

Police said the device was actively recording at the time. The suspect was identified as Manuel Ramirez, 61, of College Station. The alleged victim was informed about the recording and chose to press charges, according to the report.
Police Seize Phone as Investigation Continues
Texas A&M University Police took over the investigation after Ramirez was located and seized his phone as evidence, according to KBTX. He was then booked into the Brazos County Jail.
Ramirez has been charged with invasive visual recording, a state jail felony under Texas law. The offence applies when someone, without consent and with the intention of invading another person's privacy, records an intimate area when that area is not reasonably expected to be subject to public view.
Texas law specifically defines an 'intimate area' to include a person's genitals, pubic area, anus, buttocks or female breast, whether clothed or unclothed. A conviction for invasive visual recording is classified as a state jail felony.
KBTX also reported that Ramirez was working at Kyle Field during the game, although he was not a Texas A&M employee. He was employed by SSC Services for Education, a third-party custodial services provider.
SSC confirmed that Ramirez's employment was terminated following the incident.
'As a third-party custodial services provider, we at SSC take the safety of students and the entire community very seriously,' the company said. 'We are aware of the incident at Kyle Field and are cooperating with the appropriate authorities. The individual's employment has been terminated effective immediately.'
Kyle Field Presents Major Security Challenge
The arrest occurred at one of the largest venues in American college football. Kyle Field has an official capacity of 102,733 and has been home to Texas A&M football since 1905.
With more than 100,000 fans potentially attending an Aggies home game, maintaining security inside the stadium requires hundreds of people working across different areas, according to Texas A&M.
The department regularly posts updates about incidents during home games, including arrests and ejections. However, Saturday's report drew particular attention because of the nature of the allegation.
Ramirez's case remains pending, and the allegations against him have not been proven in court. Further proceedings will determine how the case develops.
