TRICHY: Air India Express (AIE) has announced the operation of an additional flight service between Trichy and Kuwait from June 25, to tap the unutilized passenger traffic. The new service will be operated on Saturdays, and bookings have already begun. As of now, AIE is providing weekly service on Tuesdays.
AIE earlier operated two services from 1999 to October 2007. However, they were terminated. After a period of 15 years, AIE restored scheduled commercial flight service on Tuesdays from May 3, 2022. It was well-received by thousands of Tamils who are working there. After witnessing the rousing reception, AIE has come forward to operate additional services on a weekly basis.
