The Oscar-winning Swedish actress attended the screening alongside her husband, Michael Fassbender, marking one of their relatively infrequent joint red-carpet appearances.
The gown was rendered in a soft pastel blue and defined by layers of floor-trailing ruffles. According to W Magazine, the lightweight silk created a petal-like effect through the skirt, while an oversized sash bow wrapped around Vikander's waist.

Fassbender joined Vikander for the screening in a double-breasted Berluti tuxedo, bow tie and dark sunglasses, according to W Magazine. The couple, who married in 2017, have generally kept their relationship private and have made relatively few red-carpet appearances together.
The Venice appearance follows another recent festival appearance for the pair. W Magazine notes that they were also photographed together at the Cannes Film Festival in May for Hope, a film starring both actors.
'The Echo Chamber' Premieres in Competition
At Venice, Vikander is promoting "The Echo Chamber," which is part of the festival's Venezia 83 Competition. The official festival listing identifies the film as an Italy-Belgium production with a 123-minute runtime and credits Bernardo Bertolucci, Ilaria Bernardini and Ludovica Rampoldi with the screenplay.
The festival describes the film as a love story centered on Leo and Anne, whose relationship explores the blurred boundaries between intimacy and dependency, care and control. Vikander plays Anne, with Marinelli and Susan Sarandon rounding out the principal cast.
