Minnesota finished this past season as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. Edwards and company lost to the No. 1 seed and eventual NBA champion Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards was named as an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career during the 2022-2023 NBA season. Edwards is the first Georgia Bulldog to be named as an All-Star since Dominique Wilkins in 1993-1994.
