An Indigenous teen's call to local bishop for a bus ticket led to the cleric inviting him to a hotel room for an illicit rendezvous, a jury has heard.

Former Bishop of Broome Christopher Alan Saunders is fighting a slew of sexual assault charges at trial in the West Australian District Court.
