Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will mark the final time games from the same sub-franchise will launch in consecutive years, Activision just announced.

This means no more Black Ops 8 next year. Just kidding, but that's no longer an option moving forward, the company said in a new blog post released tonight. But with that, CoD is hoping to be more innovative and "unique" each year.
