THE bomb squad was called to a Glasgow street after reports of a potentially suspicious item at a property in the city's east end.
Emergency services were dispatched to Wellshot Road in Tollcross at around 9.40pm on Tuesday following concerns about the item.
Police officers and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) specialists attended the scene and carried out an assessment, which found the item posed no threat to the public.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.40pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, we were called to a report of a potentially suspicious item at a premises in Wellshot Road, Glasgow.
"Officers and Explosive Ordnance Disposal attended and the item was assessed and confirmed to pose no risk to the public."
