  • Mr Burnham also said that “problem-solving over point scoring” would “characterise” his time as prime minister, setting out changes to the prisons early release scheme and pledging to take “stronger public control” over essentials such as water.
  • He pledged to “bring back hope” and “unlock a feeling of positivity and possibility in every postcode in Britain”.
