Celtic are "interested" in Southampton right-back Yukinari Sugawara, according to a new report.
The Scottish club want to strengthen their side before the UEFA deadline on Wednesday. However, the Japanese international is "unsure" about moving to the Scottish champions at this point in his career.

Sky Sports said Celtic are looking for a player to "fill that position" as Alistair Johnston recovers from an injury. The Canadian is expected to be sidelined until around the end of October.
Any new signing would then provide support at right-back when Johnston is fit again. Celtic have "identified a number of targets" and are pursuing them before the deadline.

Southampton are open to loan offers for Sugawara, but the 26-year-old wants to "assess all his options before deciding his future."
This summer, Celtic have already signed Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt, Camilo Duran from Qarabag, Haissem Hassan from Real Oviedo, Mika Baur from Paderborn, and free agent Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
