Cameron Carter-Vickers is determined to make up for lost time after his injury lay-off.
The USA international was sidelined with an Achilles injury for nine months last season but has returned to feature in each of Celtic's opening three games of the 2026/27 campaign.
The 28-year-old spoke ahead of Celtic's Champions League play-off against LASK. He said: "I’m very happy here. To be honest, being out for so long last year did kind of make me miss it and probably gave me a little bit more extra motivation for coming into this season.
"So, yes, I’m happy and just looking forward to this season really."

Despite coming through the early-season fixtures without any issues, Carter-Vickers admits that he is still working towards peak fitness. He said: "Having been out for so long, I probably don’t quite feel physically at 100 per cent yet.
"Obviously, in terms of injury, I’m fine, but just in terms of regaining fitness and sharpness."
He anticipates the process of getting back to full fitness will take some time. "I think especially with Achilles, what it does, it’s kind of like a spring. So it’s just natural that it takes a bit of time to get that last one, two, three per cent back.
"I don’t think any player’s ever happy. They’re always trying to push themselves for more and trying to get more out of themselves," he added.
