NEW DELHI: Though outstation students are expected to reach the city in large numbers by the weekend, Delhi University colleges have not yet reopened their hostels fully. While some said the admissions process was under way, several others said that it would take a few more weeks before students could start residing in the hostels.
At Miranda House, while the second- and third-year students have started arriving, principal Bijayalaxmi Nanda said that the list for shortlisted candidates from the first year would be released only next week. “The application process has started. While not too many third-year students are here yet, many second-year students are. We will announce the list for the first-year students next week. We are conducting the admissions in a staggered manner,” said Nanda.
