RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku will be Todd Boehly's latest big-money signing since taking joint-ownership of the club last year. While the move is yet to be formally announced, football.london understands a deal to bring the 25-year-old to west London is already in place, with the Frenchman identified as a key figure in a new-look Chelsea attack next season.
The former PSG forward joins Chelsea on a deal in the summer worth over £50million, with the move being finalised upon the completion of his contract in June 2023. However, Nkunku's arrival is unlikely to be the last when it comes Graham Potter's attacking roster for next term.
With goal scoring proving to a serious problem for Potter's outfit this campaign, Chelsea have reportedly joined the race for highly-sought-after Napoli striker Victor Osimhen when the summer transfer window opens. The potential joint arrival of Nkunku, who has scored 12 goals in 18 Bundesliga games this campaign, and Osimhen, whose Serie A record is an eye-watering 21 goals in 23 outings, would certainly whet the appetite of any Blues supporter.
