Italian football club Como has handed forward Roberta Picchi a contract extension as a sign of "continued commitment" following her breast cancer diagnosis.
The diagnosis arrived shortly after she helped Como secure promotion to the top tier of Italian women's football for the first time, and just weeks ahead of their opening women's Serie A fixture.
