Five years after the release of "Control," the sequel is just a few short days away from hitting the market.
Here's what you have to know about "Control Resonant" before its official release.
'Control Resonant'
"Control Resonant" is a sequel to "Control" that follows Dylan Faden, Jesse Faden's brother, after years of confinement by the Federal Bureau of Control.
Dylan emerges into a warped Manhattan where a new cosmic threat is altering reality and spreading paranatural forces throughout the city. According to Remedy Entertainment, Dylan must fight to survive while trying to understand his powers and what has happened to his sister.
The story expands the "Control" universe beyond the Oldest House as Dylan searches for Jesse Faden amid the growing crisis. The Hiss, the Mold, and a mysterious new form of resonance have also spread beyond the Bureau, creating a wider threat to humanity.
Control Resonant is developed and published by Remedy Entertainment, with Annapurna Pictures co-financing and co-producing the game.
Release Date and Platforms
"Control Resonant" is scheduled for release on September 24, 2026.
The game will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. A Mac version will follow later in 2026, while the game will also support GeForce NOW.

Gameplay
"Control Resonant" is a third-person action RPG centered on close-range combat and supernatural abilities. According to Remedy Entertainment, Dylan uses the shapeshifting Aberrant weapon, which can transform into different forms such as a hammer, blades, and fists. Players can combine these forms with Dylan's powers to create different combat styles.
The game also emphasizes exploration across large, distinct zones of a warped Manhattan. Dylan can use abilities such as Reach and Shift to navigate gravity anomalies and distorted environments, while defeating powerful Resonants unlocks new combat abilities. Players can further customize Dylan through weapon forms, talents, abilities, and Artifacts.
Editions and Pricing
The game will be available as a Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition, with physical versions also planned for consoles. The Standard Edition costs $59.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $69.99.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, AWE Mission Outfit, Untapped Artifact, Starter Resource Bundle, Digital Artbook, and Original Soundtrack. A SteelBook Edition is also available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for $69.99, and includes the game, SteelBook case, three fine-art prints, and a key-art poster.
