  • Critics have reacted to Janus Metz’ tense new thriller Unabomber, inspired by the story of domestic terrorist Ted Kaczynski, and streaming exclusively on Netflix from 25 September.
  • Jacob Tremblay stars as Harvard prodigy Ted Kaczynski, while Russell Crowe plays Professor Henry Murray and Shailene Woodley joins as FBI agent Joanne Miller, who leads the manhunt to bring the Unabomber to justice.
  • Writing for The Telegraph , critic Tim Robey awarded the film two stars, arguing that Shailene Woodley “gives easily the most sure-footed performance”.
  • Terry Staunton gave the thriller three stars, writing for The Radio Times : “Were it not for the constant alternating between time periods, viewers could feasibly be watching the opening and closing instalments of a mini-series with the middle episodes missing.”
  • Meanwhile, Richard Lawson summarised his review for The Hollywood Reporter with the ‘bottom line’: “A faint sketch of a killer as a young man.”
