A dating expert says the secrets to first date success is never going for dinner or staying for more than an hour - and avoiding raunchy texters all together. Jacob Lucas, 30, a dating coach who has helped thousands find love, also reveals tell-tale signs the meet up is going well.
He said there are no hard and fast rules on first dates, but he generally advises clients to avoid a meal because it "might feel like an interview and too contrived". He said going to someone's house for a first date means "you're probably going to get ghosted".
The coach who runs Jacob Lucas Dating said if they introduce sexual chat before the first or second date just avoid them all together. "Personally I would keep the first date to under an hour," he said.
