Liverpool's 'Miracle of Istanbul' legend Didi Hamann reckoned LASK's sensational comeback against Celtic was comparable to their iconic Champions League Final fightback.
The club were stunned in Austria after they were sent crashing out of the Champions League despite having a four-goal advantage, following a 3-0 first-leg win and going a goal up in Linz.
But they slumped to a 5-1 defeat after extra time and failed to qualify for the main stages of the competition yet again. Former German international Hamann was an analyst for Austrian TV and couldn't believe the hosts' incredible fightback.
The ex-Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Newcastle United star played for Liverpool in the famous 2005 Champions League Final against AC Milan where his side found themselves 3-0 down at half time in Istanbul.

But they fought back to level, and Hamann scored one of the penalties in the shootout as they eventually won the trophy. And he said: "I know what an incredible comeback in the Champions League feels like, and that was up there.
"I have goosebumps after watching that. I was just so impressed with LASK's attitude. I think they're capable of anything. Why shouldn't they finish in the top 24 of the Champions League too?
"Celtic were better in the first half, but after LASK went 2-1 up, it was a one-way onslaught. LASK completely overwhelmed Celtic.
"The spirit they showed was incredible."
