Celtic have had a loan offer for their former left-back Greg Taylor rejected by PAOK.
Martin O'Neill needs to strengthen the position in his squad to provide Kieran Tierney with adequate competition and cover, given the Thursday-Sunday schedule the club will be met with in the Europa League and Premiership.
Chelsea left-back Landon Emenalo was a target and had been shown around Lennoxtown. However, the 18-year-old has been recovering from an injury, and due to concerns around his fitness, Celtic decided to pursue Taylor.

A loan bid was submitted, however it is understood that offer has been rejected by the Greeks.
As a result of that, it looks like the champions could press ahead with plans to bring Emenalo on a season-long loan despite those fitness concerns.
Taylor moved to Greece last summer after letting his Celtic contract run down. Despite not always being a regular starter, he is still seen as important to PAOK's plans.
Manager Alessio Lisci said of the 28-year-old: "I believe that Taylor can also play as a left back, but right now I consider him as a midfielder because he thinks very smartly."
