PEOPLE living in the Highlands are being asked to take part in a major citizen science study as part of a pioneering red squirrel reintroduction project.

The research is being carried out by charity Trees for Life this autumn as part of a successful rewilding initiative.

So far, Trees for Life has established 10 new red squirrel populations in the Highlands.
