Nathan Patterson aimed a cheeky dig at David Moyes after completing his Everton exit.
The former Rangers right-back has joined Torino on a three-year deal, linking up with Scotland teammate Che Adams in Serie A.
Patterson’s four-and-a-half-year spell at Goodison Park came to an end after an injury-hit period in which he struggled for regular football. The 24-year-old made only nine appearances in all competitions last season and found himself well down the pecking order under Moyes.
But he appeared to reference an awkward moment from last month, when the Everton boss mistakenly called him “Craig” during a press conference. In a farewell message to supporters, Patterson wrote: “To all the Toffees, sometimes in life things don’t go as planned.
