The most dominant was a return to structured tailoring. Net-a-Porter's chief buying and merchandising officer noted that slim tailoring and structured silhouettes dominated the fall/winter 2026 runways, balanced by luxurious textures like velvet, charmeuse and shearling. Draping told a softer, competing story. Fall 2026 collections leaned into fluid, gathered fabric, with designers using draped panels and satin to give classic silhouettes a more sculptural, fashion-forward finish rather than a purely decorative one.
