UNCOVERED: Former glasgow nightclub demolition plan changed to save historic facade - Caught on Camera

Plans to demolish a former Glasgow nightclub to create new student accommodation in Glasgow city centre have been altered to keep the facade of the 19th century building.

The venue at 21-41 Queen Street, which dates back to the 1830s, was formerly home to Archaos nightclub prior to its closure in 2007 with the building being vacant since 2010.

Proposals were put forward to Glasgow City Council for a 14-storey, 197-bed Novel Student complex, with the new plans seeing the partial demolition of buildings and retention of the principal facade, reGlasgow reports.
