INSANE: From flat prints to full wrap tumblers a practical guide to building more with xtool | Rare Historical Photos

A creative business rarely slows down because it runs out of ideas. More often, the real problem is the gap between the idea and the equipment needed to make it happen.

One customer wants a personalized tumbler. The next needs engraved metal gifts. Someone else wants branded apparel, crystal keepsakes or an acrylic sign. Suddenly, a workshop built around one process begins to feel surprisingly limited.

That is where the current xTool ecosystem becomes interesting. Instead of looking at one machine in isolation, makers can build a workflow around printing, laser cutting, engraving, apparel customization, curved-object printing and ready-to-personalize blanks.

Here is how the pieces fit together.

1. Start by Choosing the Right Creative Engine

There are three standout systems in this lineup, and each solves a different production problem.

The xTool O1 Omni Printer: The World’s First 4-in-1 Omni Printer is built for creators who do not want printing to stop at flat signs or paper-like media. xTool describes O1 as a four-in-one platform capable of supporting UV printing, DTG printing, DTF transfers and UV DTF transfers depending on the edition. That opens the door to rigid materials, fabrics, decals and a much broader range of custom products from one platform.

If cutting and engraving are at the heart of the workshop, the xTool P2S 55W Desktop CO2 Laser Cutter takes a different route. The P2S uses a 55W CO2 laser, with xTool listing engraving speeds up to 600 mm/s and a working area of roughly 600 × 305 mm. Because it is a CO2 laser cutter, it is particularly relevant for makers working with materials such as acrylic and wood; xTool specifically highlights its ability to process acrylic in different colours, including clear acrylic.

Then there is the F2 Ultra MOPA+UV Ultimate Business Duo. This is less about choosing between metal and delicate materials and more about having specialized tools for both. The combination pairs a 60W MOPA laser with UV capability, allowing applications ranging from metal colour marking and embossing to work on glass, crystal, plastics, acrylic, wood and other materials. xTool also lists dual 48MP cameras and working speeds up to 15,000 mm/s.

For a customization business, those are three very different doors: custom printing, CO2 laser cutting and high-detail laser engraving.

2. Turn the O1 Into More Than a Flatbed Printer

The clever part of the O1 ecosystem is what happens when accessories start changing the shape and length of what you can print.

The xTool OR1 Rotary Attachment for O1 Omni Printer is designed for curved objects. xTool says it supports cups, cans, ornaments, small spheres and other curved forms, with controlled 360-degree rotation for full-wrap printing. That means a design does not have to stop where a flat print bed ends.

For roll-based work, the xTool LM1 Laminator/RF1 Roll Feeder for O1 Omni Printer expands the workflow again. The RF1 handles continuous roll media, while the LM1 is designed for UV DTF lamination and finishing. xTool also positions the LM1 for foil effects and the combined setup for longer roll-production workflows.

Surface preparation matters too. The xTool Selected UV Printing Primer Wipe for O1 Omni Printer (50pcs) is available in material-specific options for glass and ceramics, metal and acrylic. Its purpose is straightforward: prepare suitable surfaces before UV printing to improve ink adhesion.

Add xToolCare for O1 Omni Printer and the listed Worry-Free Purchase option, and the setup becomes not just about what you can make, but how confidently you can build your production system around it.

3. Treat Apparel Printing Like a Workflow, Not a Single Purchase

Anyone getting into DTF printing quickly learns that the printer is only part of the equation. Ink, powder, cleaning and print-head care all affect the day-to-day workflow.

The range includes 500ml Apparel Printer Ink, available for the xTool Apparel Printer in cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white. xTool lists the ink as OEKO-TEX certified and designed specifically for its apparel-printing system.

There is also 500ml Apparel Printer Moisturizing Liquid, intended to keep the print head moist during periods of inactivity and help reduce the risk of dried ink and nozzle clogging. Apparel Printer Cleaning Fluid serves the cleaning side of maintenance, while Apparel Printer Powder (1kg) supports the DTF transfer workflow.

For buyers who would rather assemble supplies as a kit, the 30-Day Worry-Free DTF Material Bundle combines key DTF consumables, including ink, printing film, moisturizing liquid, powder and cleaning fluid.

The product list also includes Filters for SafetyPro™ AP2 and the xTool Upgrade Kit for Apparel Printer. The current upgrade kit combines an internal humidity module with a white-ink damper upgrade, reinforcing an important point: serious apparel printing is as much about maintenance and consistency as it is about pressing “print.”

4. Build the P2S Around the Jobs You Actually Want to Run

A CO2 laser cutter becomes much more useful when the work area is set up for the material in front of it.

The Honeycomb Panel 2.0 for P2/P2S helps support smaller cutting pieces and is designed to reduce the chance of cut components dropping through and being burned. xTool also includes magnetic material pins with the panel.

For everyday positioning, Material Pins for P2 help hold material securely. The Riser Base for P Series creates additional vertical working space for taller objects and expands the types of jobs the machine can accommodate.

And then there are the components makers tend to appreciate only after hundreds of jobs: the Laser Mirrors Pack for P Series (3pcs). xTool notes that dirty or degraded mirrors can reduce laser power and processing quality, which makes replacement optics part of sensible long-term maintenance rather than an afterthought.

5. The Machine Makes the Product—but the Blank Creates the Opportunity

Machines get most of the attention, yet personalized gifts often begin with something much simpler: a good blank.

For glass work, the Black Laser Marking Pen for Glass (2pcs) creates a laser-assisted black marking process. xTool describes a simple apply, engrave and wipe workflow for compatible laser systems.

From there, the project possibilities get much more commercial: Laserable PU Patch Bookmarks (4pcs), Laserable PU Stainless Steel Hip Flask (6oz), Leather Keychain (5pcs) and Cuff Bracelet (3pcs) give makers ready-made formats for names, logos, messages and personalized gift designs.

The hip flask, for example, combines stainless steel with laserable PU and is listed as compatible with multiple xTool laser types.

Keychains offer another easy product category to build around. The range includes Stainless Steel Military Keychain (10pcs) and Stainless Steel Round Keychain (10pcs) for engraved metal work.

For something more visual, the Multicolored LED Lights K5 Crystal Rectangular Keychain (10pcs) uses transparent crystal and is designed for UV engraving, embossing and, with compatible equipment, UV printing. The engraving appears white while the integrated multicoloured light can illuminate the finished design.

That is where a laser engraving machine stops feeling like equipment and starts feeling like inventory creation.

Build a Workshop Around Possibilities, Not Just Machines

The strongest way to approach xTool is not to ask, “Which machine has the longest feature list?”

Ask what you want to sell.

If your world revolves around apparel, DTF printing supplies and proper printer maintenance matter. If your customers want acrylic signs, wood products or laser-cut pieces, the P2S and the right laser cutting accessories make more sense. If the business moves between metal, crystal and high-detail personalization, the F2 Ultra MOPA+UV Duo offers a much broader laser toolkit. And if your product catalogue jumps from flat UV prints to fabric, decals and curved drinkware, the O1 ecosystem is designed around exactly that kind of variety.

The real opportunity is not owning more tools.

It is being able to say “yes” to more customer ideas.
