MYSTERIOUS: Ghislaine maxwell inspired character on hit bbc show star admits - You Need To See This

Ghislaine Maxwell Yasmin KaraHanani Marisa Abela Robert Maxwell

Marisa Abela, star of the BBC financial drama Industry, has revealed that her character Yasmin Kara-Hanani is "loosely inspired" by convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.
Abela's character, Yasmin, is the heiress to a publishing empire whose father died after falling from his yacht named after her, drawing parallels to Robert Maxwell, Ghislaine's father, who died after falling from his yacht, the Lady Ghislaine.
The actress confirmed the comparison between Yasmin's storyline and Maxwell's, particularly regarding the character's intense proximity to power.
Abela stated she intentionally kept Yasmin and Maxwell separate in her portrayal, finding the real-life events "horrifying and disgusting."
Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for child sex trafficking offences related to her involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, whose extensive network of high-profile figures has recently been revealed through released files.
