EXPLAINED: Hubbell stock analyst estimates ratings gh3oahbu - The Real Truth

With a market cap of $25 billion, Hubbell Incorporated (HUBB) is a leading manufacturer of electrical and utility solutions. Based in Shelton, Connecticut, it supplies the critical products that help power grids, businesses, factories, and other essential infrastructure operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Hubbell’s stock has been caught in the market’s slipstream rather than leading the charge. HUBB stock has surged 6.8% over the past year, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied 18.7%. The same pattern has played out in 2026, with HUBB up 6.4% year to date, trailing the broader benchmark’s 12.1% gain.

Its performance against the industrial sector has been even more subdued, as the State Street Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLI) has returned 17.7% over the past 52 weeks and rallied 16.3% in 2026.

On July 28, Hubbell’s shares dipped 2.9% after the company released its FY2026 second-quarter earnings, as investors appeared to look past an otherwise strong set of results. Net sales jumped 15.3% year over year to $1.71 billion, fuelled by 10% organic growth and contributions from acquisitions, while adjusted EPS climbed 12% to $5.52, beating Wall Street expectations. Demand remained particularly strong in the Electrical Solutions segment, where sales surged 25% to $686 million, while Utility Solutions sales rose 9.7% to $1.03 billion. The company also raised its full-year outlook, projecting 16%-18% total sales growth and adjusted EPS of $20.25-$20.55.

For the fiscal year ending in December 2026, analysts expect HUBB’s adjusted EPS to grow 12.1% year over year to $20.41. The company's earnings surprise history is solid. It topped the consensus estimates in each of the last four quarters.

Among the 14 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Moderate Buy.” That’s based on seven “Strong Buy” ratings and seven “Holds.”

This configuration is slightly more bullish than a month ago, with six “Strong Buy” ratings on the stock.

On July 29, Bernstein SocGen Group reiterated its “Outperform” rating on Hubbell and maintained its $584 price target, signaling continued confidence in the company’s growth prospects.

Its mean price target of $561.73 represents an 18.9% premium from the prevailing market price. The Street-high price target of $630 suggests a 33.3% potential upside.
