DARK SECRETS: Igor tudor defends early antonin kinsky substitution after tottenham s 5 2 defeat | Vintage Vibes

Tottenham Hotspur manager Igor Tudor has defended his decision to substitute goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky against Atletico Madrid, admitting it was a "career first".

Tudor opted to replace first-choice keeper Guglielmo Vicario with Kinsky for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 knockout tie, despite the Czech having only made two appearances this season, both in the Carabao Cup.

Kinsky was substituted just 17 minutes into the match on Tuesday (10 March) after conceding three goals, with Spurs going on to lose the game 5-2.

The result makes it six losses in a row for the North London club, as they languish in 16th place in the Premier League table.
