- Lee Ellis, 55, of Calder Grove, Wakefield, has been charged with manslaughter and being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury resulting in death.
- Bradford Magistrates' Court heard that the altercation between the men initially escalated from an argument regarding a right of way on the footpath.
- Acting senior coroner Oliver Longstaff adjourned the inquest pending criminal proceedings, with Ellis scheduled to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 26 September.
