Mika Baur "missed" training ahead of Celtic's Premier Sports Cup quarter-final against Rangers, according to a new report.
Per the Scottish Sun, the German midfielder was notably absent on Friday, just two days before the trip to Ibrox. Baur's absence is unexpected, especially after his decisive goal in the recent 1-0 win over St Johnstone.
Since joining from Paderborn in the summer, the 22-year-old has become a key player for Celtic and would likely have been a starter in Sunday's cup match if fit.

However, his absence from training casts doubt over his availability for the weekend's crucial match. At this point, it is not clear if Baur is injured or if there is another reason for his absence. Celtic will be hoping for his return before they finalise their preparations on Saturday.
If Baur is unable to play, O'Neill still has alternatives in midfield despite a summer overhaul of the squad.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is ready for selection, and Danish loanee Oliver Sorensen is also keen to be involved, as well as Joel van den Berg.
