A bill meant to remedy and prevent damage as a result of large donations to religious organizations has been submitted to a plenary session of the House of Representatives for deliberation.
The government and the ruling parties are aiming to have the bill passed into law during the current Diet session. The House of Representatives Special Committee on Consumer Affairs decided Wednesday to vote on the bill in the lower house after Prime Minister Fumio Kishida attends a Thursday meeting to discuss it.
