MYSTERIOUS: Kyogo explains why he left celtic refuses to rule out future return - You Need To See This

Kyogo Furuhashi has refused to rule out a return to Celtic, a year on from exiting the club.

The Japanese forward ended his time at the Scottish Premiership champions in January 2025, joining Rennes in a £10 million deal. He scored 85 goals and won eight major honours during his successful three-and-a-half-year stint in Glasgow.

His spells at Rennes and Birmingham City didn't bring the same success, and a proposed loan back to Celtic was considered but didn't happen.

Now, after completing a move to LA Galaxy, Kyogo has spoken about his time at Celtic and the possibility of a return. Kyogo said: "I loved my time with Celtic. It was such a special period, but at the time I was looking for a new challenge. [Daily Record]

"I spoke with the manager, the board, and the team, and they fully supported me in the direction and new challenge that I was going on to.

"I'm very sad that I may have broken some hearts. However, I'm not retired. I believe there will be a time where we can all meet again."

On a potential return to Glasgow, the forward continued,"I'm not fully retired. I would never put it at a zero per cent chance.

"As long as I continue playing, only the future will tell."
