Former Strictly Come Dancing star La Voix has revealed that fans will be “surprised” at the new hosting shake-up.
The BBC dance competition is back this month for its 24th series, the first in its history without longtime host Tess Daly after her departure alongside co-host Claudia Winkleman last year.
Stepping into their hosting shoes are broadcaster Emma Willis, comedian Josh Widdicombe, and dancer Johannes Radebe, who has been a pro on the show for almost a decade.
La Voix, who had to exit the competition early last year due to injury, said she is “excited” about all the new format changes to the beloved BBC show.
“I think it's gonna be a show to watch and I think people will be surprised.
“I think they might think they'll know where the new presenters are going, but I think you'll be surprised what their positions are,” she told The Standard.
Willis has already hinted that some features of the long-running dancing show could be changing.
Speaking on Magic Radio last month, the 50-year-old revealed that the beloved “keep dancing” moment could be abandoned.
“That is difficult with three,” she said, referencing the catchphrase first coined by Bruce Forsyth. He and Daly would use it at the end of each show - a ritual that was passed on when Winkleman joined Daly as a co-host.
“At the minute we’re having like loads of production days, and we’re playing with who’s with who and how it works. But I imagine we’ll need to have something.”
Giving a message for the new cast, who began rehearsals this week, La Voix said: “ I think just throw yourself into it if you're doing that show and enjoy every second.”
