At £36,995, the Leapmotor C10 gets you a big, spacious SUV with plenty of space for the family and a kit list that looks like the options list of many premium brands’ EVs. However, £36,995 puts Leapmotor right into the bearpit of some seriously talented cars – it’s only £3,000 away from a Tesla Model 3 or the talented Tesla Model Y rival the Xpeng G6, which are in a different league when it comes to EV tech and range.
Perhaps more importantly, for £1,000 less than the cost of the Leapmotor C10 you can get a Kia EV3 that will go for a maximum of 375 miles, 112 miles further than the Leapmotor claims. Admittedly the Kia is slightly smaller and not as generously equipped (although comes with enough kit for most), but it gives you an idea what the C10 is up against.
