Celtic target Niels Nkounkou is reportedly one step away from completing an alternative transfer switch this summer.
The defender, 25, had been linked with a move to Glasgow from Eintracht Frankfurt before the deadline on Thursday.
However, despite previous suggestions that Celtic were pushing to finalise a deal, it appears Nkounkou may be ready to make the move to Ligue 1.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna claims the most recent twist in the transfer saga has seen Nkounkou give his agreement to a deal to join OGC Nice this summer.
There had been an agreement in place with Nice previously as Malvin Bard looked set for an exit before interest stalled.
But, a switch to England for Bard looks back on the table as West Ham and Leeds want the player.
As a result, Nkounkou to Nice has become an active option once more with the player now thought to be moving closer to a move to the French club.
