FORGOTTEN HISTORY: Man charged in connection with fatal a72 crash after woman died | History Defined

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash on the A72 in South Lanarkshire.

A black BMW M135 travelling towards the town of Biggar, South Lanarkshire, veered off the road on Saturday, March 12.

Beth Damer, 20, a passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 26-year-old man has now been charged.

Beth's death was described as 'every parent's worst nightmare' in a stream of messages that flooded social media following the tragedy, mainly from devastated loves ones who dubbed Beth 'an angel' who was 'taken to soon'.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, with the man expected to appear in the dock at a later date.
