Marnus Labuschagne, the first of a distinguished crew of veteran Australian superstars to pad up in the Pakistan Super League, has been left flat after his Hyderabad Kingsmen team got hammered in the opening fixture behind closed doors in Lahore.

The presence of Labuschagne, David Warner, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa in this year's PSL means the league arguably boasts more marquee Australian cricketing names even than its more illustrious neighbour, the Indian Premier League, will be able to claim when it kicks off this weekend.
