Ireland's weather is due to take a wild turn in the middle of next week with unsettled conditions dominating Met Éireann's latest forecast.
The national forecaster foresees horrendous conditions within days despite a dry and bright start to next week.
Starting on Saturday, blustery and showery weather will dampen spirits around the country. There will be "frequent heavy and thundery showers along with the chance of hail, mainly over the western half of the country but extending eastwards through the day bringing spot flooding and disruption," according to Met Éireann.
