Multiple unauthorized looks at Grand Theft Auto 6 have hit the internet. The clips, which last between a minute to two minutes, show what seem to be genuine gameplay from GTA 6 featuring Jason driving around Vice City, playing basketball outside his house, and fighting NPCs – both police, security guards, and random drivers.
Just days ahead of the exclusive extended look on Netflix, these leaks are a feast for fans who have been starved for content over the past few months leading up to the games release date this November. The leaks seem to have no end, as the person or group behind them has released a few statements regarding “gamer’s rights”, including changes to digital preorders and better preservation of single player content.
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has since filed subpoenas in an effort to find the leakers.
UPDATE (Aug. 26): Rockstar Games addresses the leaks in a social media statement.

Every leaked video so far
Since earlier last week, the leakers have released a series of clips from Grand Theft Auto 6, implying that they have access to a full kit of the game. In short, here’s what every leak showed:
- Jason playing a solo game of basketball outside his house.
- A random clip of driving on the highway before beating up an aggressive NPC driver.
- A screenshot of what could be the entire game’s map.
- Jason fighting multiple security guards with a taser (and stealing their hat).
- Junkies in Vice City as well as a healing drug called Zombix.
- Two minutes of flying over Vice City, revealing the scope of the map, and the leaker spelling out “LEEK” with bullets – indicating they have full access to GTA 6 .
- Jason driving a high-end sports car, attacking a gas station employee, and entering a strip club.
- The inside of a strip club, featuring everything you’d expect.
- A man filling up his truck bed with gas before Jason steals it, crashes, and explodes.
- Flying over Vice City at night and listening to the radio.
- A nudist colony, full of highly detailed NPCs.
- Jason inside “nine1nine” – a night club.
- Biking around an incredibly crowded beach.
- The inside of a video game store, ironically selling used copies of games.
- Driving a stolen car, being chased by the police at night, and the first leak of Lucia.
- The first five minutes of the story featuring Lucia in prison – the first plot spoilers posted by the leaker.
The first day of leaks
The first two leaks of GTA 6 hit the internet like a bombshell, especially as the extremely limited marketing has revealed shockingly little in the lead up to November.
The first video simply showed Jason, one of the two protagonists, playing basketball outside of his house. This first video revealed a HUD along with a stamina bar and two separate stores of money (potentially a split between cash on hand and cash saved up at home).
The second video showed more classic GTA gameplay as the player drives out on a freeway and crashes into a few cars, triggering an aggressive NPC to get out of their car and attack. Police vehicles show up, giving the first look at how cops will work in GTA 6. Unlike GTA 5, police don’t appear as moving dots on a minimap, but are instead indicated by a soft red-blue effect on screen.
Notable features include some dialogue options to either “warn” or “defuse”, wanted statuses (including outfit and car descriptions for police to chase down), and six wanted stars are back.
Following the videos was what could be the entire map of Grand Theft Auto 6.
Tasers, Zombix, and VPNs
After the first round of leaks on August 18, more footage from GTA 6 was posted online. The follow up leak was about two minutes long, showing Jason driving into a gated distribution center and taking on a few security guards equipped with tasers.
The video reveals a few new details about the game, as an option to ‘smash window’ or ‘clone key’ both appear when Jason tries opening a locked car. After taking on a few guards, Jason steals one of their hats before hijacking a semi and driving off the lot. A brief snippet of a cutscene plays featuring Jason and Cal Hampton, his friend and conspiracy theorist.
Shortly after the video was posted, the leakers retweeted a post implying they have access to a full build of the game.
There is a possibility that this leaker group has a full GTA 6 build on their hands which is even more devastating as all the leaks seem to have the same thing in common, Jason is wearing the same clothes and it is early in game footage.

I have zero idea how someone can get…
Soon after the taser video, another video featuring Jason using a knife against a police officer and stealing his bike was posted online. This video confirmed that outfit and vehicle descriptions are returning to the series, alongside pain meds called “Zombix”.
Just after posting that video, the leaker took to social media to directly tag Rockstar Games and post a taunting clip of the same cutscene used in earlier videos, in which Cal says “they don’t know nothing about me, man, I use a VPN”.
The third day of leaks
After a polling followers on what content they’d like to see in the next video, the leaker posted a two minute video of themselves flying over Vice City in a prop plane, browsing radio stations, and finally shooting a wall to spell out “Leeks” with bullets – confirming speculation that they have access to a full build of GTA 6.
Some noticeable pieces of this video, beyond showing the massive scope of the map, include an “On Demand” option for the radio, perhaps implying players can play their own music through the in-game radio.
Strip clubs and sports cars
The most recent leaked video, the seventh so far, shows Jason robbing a gas station, attacking the employee, and taking off in a sports car while police try to chase him down. Notably, the video ends with what can only be described as a teaser for the in-game strip club. On-screen text reads “3 Mil Marketcap = Stripclub”, so it seems the leaker is intending on milking as much out of their crypto scheme before the leaks come to an end.
Other details revealed in the video include the option to refuel a car at the gas pump, the police calling for backup via radio, and detailed NPC reactions to violence (elderly NPCs cower and hide instead of running away).
After the strip club teaser, the leaker posted a two and a half minute video exploring the inside of the club. Inside are plenty of dancers, sans clothing, as Jason walks around slowly and pulls out a pair of binoculars to get a closer look.
At the very end, a clip of a cutscene in which Jason says “I got to take a leak” is included. These taunting clips show how much of the story the leaker has access to, and how much they could spoil of the story if they wanted.
Six days of leaking
On the sixth day of leaks – showing no signs of stopping – another two minute video of GTA 6 gameplay has appeared. This footage shows Jason stealing a truck (with a bed full of gas) from an angry NPC before crashing into traffic with an impressively fiery explosion.
The few notable details from this video are a “Return to Lucia” mission notification – implying the leaker might have access to her gameplay – as well as more gore details from when Jason runs over an NPC with his truck.
A few hours after the gas station video, a video of Jason flying over Vice City at night was posted, similar to the flying video from a few days ago. The only new information from this video – besides showing the incredible scale of the metro area – is that there are different fishing areas for specific animals, as a pop-up noting “Fishing spot for large Common Snook” appears when the plane goes over a small body of water.
The nudist colony leak
The eleventh video leaked shows much more than anyone could’ve expected, as the leaker ventures into a nudist colony for a two minute clip. While the nudity, for both men and women, is obviously the focal point of this leak, the NPC diversity and behavior is also very impressive.
NPCs walk together in groups rather than completely alone like in GTA 5, and react to Jason’s peeping binoculars as well as later violence in completely unique ways. Some immediately run away, some faint, and some drop to their knees, which makes the shoot out in the clip that much more realistic.
A nightclub and the beach
A full week of leaks – and with no sign of slowing – has continued with two more clips of GTA 6. The first shows a nightclub, named nine1nine, as Jason walks around slowly and takes in the crowd. The second features Jason biking around a beach (likely the very same as seen in one of the very first images of GTA 6) as he navigates through crowds of people.
The standout takeaway from both clips in the crowd density of NPCs, as they cluster and move naturally. Small details like the crowd still talking as music changes in the club and seagulls trying to avoid people make each scene feel realistic.
For now, no plot details have been spoiled by the leaks, but as the Netflix trailer comes closer, it seems more and more likely that story spoilers will be featured in leaks.
The used games store
Aug. 25 saw three leaks in one day, drastically picking up the pace of new clips and flooding the internet with GTA 6 content. The third clip of the day featured a video game store, in which Jason enters with binoculars, looks around, and browses different headphone options.
With the leaker’s stated goal of empowering gamer’s rights – in particular reselling used games – a look into an in-game store selling used games does cast a fun shadow of irony on the entire situation. Beyond the optics, the leak shows a little bit of how shopping and customizing characters will function as Jason is able to test out different headphone accessories and colors.
Police chase at night and Lucia teaser
Just around when Rockstar Games posted a somber statement about the leaks, another clip dropped from the leaker. This time, the clip shows Jason stealing a hot rod at night before being chased down by a cop car. Like earlier leaks, the video ends with a snippet of a cutscene, but this time featuring Lucia.
Since the second protagonist has been largely absent from all the leaks, the assumption was that the leaker might only have limited access to the game and wasn’t able to play at all as Lucia. Now, however, it seems that Lucia may be on the table for future leaks which are becoming more and more likely to include story spoilers.
GTA 6’s first few minutes
The first story spoilers have been leaked online, in which Lucia is seen in prison alongside some flashbacks to the past.
Alongside the clip, the text on screen reads, “This build is actually recent and the game is not ready at all. Sony and Rockstar are killing your right to own and resell your games.”
From this point forward, it seems all bets are off and full spoilers of GTA 6 will reach the internet at some point before November.
Who leaked these videos?
Both of the one-minute videos were watermarked and shared by an account called Cyberleek. There’s not much information currently on how this footage leaked, especially considering strict Rockstar Games policies following earlier leaks of the game.
Since there’s not much info into this group, we recommend against visiting the sites advertised on the leaked videos. So far, the reasoning for the leaks has been in regards to gamer’s right, a hot-button issue following Sony’s announcement that they will no longer produce physical discs.
Grand Theft Auto 6 comes out later this year on November 20, with plenty of different editions and pre-order bonuses to choose from.
