A man has been found guilty of murdering a two year old while her mum lay asleep upstairs.
Kyle Bevan was convicted of killing Lola James at Swansea Crown Court today, April 4. The 31-year-old inflicted "catastrophic" brain injuries on Lola at the family home in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, in the early hours of July 17, 2020 and she died in hospital four days later.
Bevan, the child's stepdad, denied harming the toddler and claimed the family dog had pushed her down the stairs. Lola’s mum Sinead James was found guilty of causing or allowing her daughter’s death.
