A new maternity hospital is scheduled to open in Belfast next summer. The £70 million development at the Royal Victoria Hospital has been constructed over five floors.
It has been designed to provide the highest standards of clinical experience while at the same time providing a ‘hotel-like’ feel to help normalise the birthing experience for women and their partners.
After completing a visit of the site, Health Minister Robin Swann said: “The new Maternity Hospital, co-located with the Critical Care building will help transform maternity services for women and their families.
