INSANE: Nottingham forest star scores bizarre own goal after goalkeeping error | Vintage Vibes

Serge Aurier scored an unfortunate own goal while on international duty for Ivory Coast on Saturday.

The Nottingham Forest defender arrived at the City Ground last summer as a free agent and played a key role in the club's survival bid. The 30-year-old made 24 league appearances for Forest last season.

But the right-back had a game to forget while playing for his country after a mistake from Ivory Coast goalkeeper Ayayi Charles Folly. It looked like a simple catch or a parry away at the very least but the keeper spilled it into the net, giving Aurier the unfortunate ignominy of scoring at the wrong end.

The Ivorians ended up losing 3-0 with Leicester City striker Patson Daka scoring Zambia's second goal of the game. Fortunately, as hosts of the next tournament, they qualify automatically but it was still a bruising defeat away from home.
