- P&O Ferries has reported a data breach after personal details were inadvertently shared among passengers on a single sailing between Dover and Calais.
- The ferry operator said that a link containing customer information was accidentally sent to a number of passengers travelling on Monday 31 August 2026.
- P&O Ferries apologised for the isolated incident and confirmed that all affected customers have been contacted directly.
- The Information Commissioner's Office confirmed it was notified of the incident and is assessing the details provided by the company.
- The breach follows a separate cybersecurity incident targeting Manchester Airport Group, which exposed the email addresses of 8.7 million passengers.
