SHOCKING: Pedestrians in italy face ps65 fine for crossing road using devices - What They Never Told You

  • Italy's Ministry of Transport has proposed draft highway code reforms that could fine pedestrians over €75 (£65) for crossing streets while using devices such as mobile phones or tablets.
  • The fines will apply regardless of whether pedestrians cross at designated walkways, though those using hands-free devices or earphones will be exempt.
  • The proposed regulations aim to reduce serious traffic accidents involving distracted walkers, with the final draft expected by mid-October.

  • In the UK, the City of London Corporation previously installed cameras at Ludgate Circus in 2018 to study the behaviour of distracted pedestrians.
