Police are seeking the public's help to find a pet dog reportedly stolen during an outdoor walk in north Canberra.
The incident was reported about 12.30pm on Sunday, August 30.
Police said a man was walking his Staffordshire bull terrier along College Street in Belconnen when two men allegedly forcibly took the dog and fled the scene in a white Land Rover parked nearby.
Investigators arrested two men, aged 22 and 26, the following day in relation to the incident but said the pet dog remains missing.
The dog has been described as having a short, dark brindle coat, a black muzzle, a white chest and white speckled front legs.
"Officers are keen to confirm the animal's safety and welfare."
The 26-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery (in company) and the 22-year-old man was charged with knowingly concerned aggravated robbery (in company), driving while disqualified and breaching bail.
"Officers are keen to confirm the animal's safety and welfare," a police spokeswoman said.
Police are also urging people who witnesses and those who have dash-cam footage of a white Land Rover with ACT number plates YSW11N in Belconnen around the time of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers quoting reference 8485238.
