The leader of Northumberland Labour has called on NHS England to save a vital rural dental surgery after fears it could close.
Families have received questionnaires on the plan which would see the Widdrington dental surgery services moved 11 miles away to Bedlington.
Coun Scott Dickinson, who represents the Druridge Bay ward on Northumberland County Council, was concerned as the surgery in nearby Hadston had already closed, with many patients transferring to Widdrington.
