A listener on his Hits Radio show asked Thompson how he felt about One Direction's Louis Tomlinson “stealing his girl”, referring to McDermott.
Thompson and McDermott dated from 2019 until 2024, with McDermott subsequently beginning a relationship with singer Louis Tomlinson.
Thompson, who is now dating DJ and model Talitha Balinska, responded calmly, stating he was happy for everyone and had met Tomlinson, finding him to be a 'nice dude'.
