LUCKNOW: Perform or perish is the clear message from Yogi government 2.0. Even though chief minister Yogi Adityanath didn’t hesitate in dropping some big names from his previous government, he did keep in mind the caste, region and Lok Sabha elections 2024 while selecting MLAs for ministerial berths. In all, 32 new faces were inducted in the ministry.

The departure of some big names like Siddharth Nath Singh, Shrikant Sharma, Ashutosh Tandon and JP Singh clearly shows that reputation, seniority and accessibility to Central leaders were no criteria to select the names for Yogi's new team.
