Red flag warnings have expired in the city of Los Angeles, but they remain in effect for the mountainous regions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties until 3 p.m. Thursday, according to meteorologists. The current humidity levels in the atmosphere are expected to aid in firefighting efforts, although no significant rainfall is anticipated in the coming week.
The National Weather Service mentioned that while there is no rain in the forecast, a shift to onshore winds late Thursday and into Friday will lead to higher relative humidities and more stable wind patterns. This change is likely to reduce the wildfire risk compared to recent days. Fire crews are taking advantage of these improved conditions to contain the fires as effectively as possible.
