Rob Burrow Leeds Rhinos Geoff Burrow Seacroft Hospital Disease Rugby

Geoff Burrow, the father of Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow, has passed away.
Leeds confirmed the news on Monday morning, stating that Geoff had died “after a period of ill health”.
The rugby league club paid tribute to Geoff, who was born in Leeds, hailing him for being a “tireless campaigner for the MND community”.
Rob Burrow was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in December 2019, and died at the age of 41 in June 2024.
Rob was involved in a number of fund-raising events before his passing, while Geoff continued to work with the MND community after Rob’s death and was present when a state-of-the-art MND centre opened at Seacroft Hospital in Leeds last year.
