With both a passing and rushing touchdown at Denver on Sunday, Sam Howell would become the first player ever to record a passing and rushing touchdown in each of his first three career games.

Howell made his first NFL start against the Dallas Cowboys in a winning effort in Week 18. He passed for 169 yards and a touchdown in that game and rushed for 34 yards and another score.
In Week 1 last week, Howellâs rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter was the decisive score for the Commanders.
Howell had some good â and bad moments from last week. What can he do for an encore in Week 2?
If Howell can accomplish the same feat for the third game in a row, the Commanders have a good shot at starting the season with a 2-0 record.
