Scott Brown expects Sam Johnstone to get the nod between the sticks for Celtic's trip across the city to face Rangers.
The on-loan Wolves goalkeeper made his debut during the win over St Johnstone on Wednesday, keeping a clean sheet.
Up until then, Viljami Sinisalo had been the No.1 and had impressed with some of his displays.
However, Brown expects the more experienced keeper to get the nod of the derby cup clash.
He said: "I know Sam Johnstone's just in the door, but I do believe Sam plays.
"I think he put Sam in on Wednesday to show that he can still do it, even though he got cramp. I've never seen that before!
"But when he was called upon, he did really, really well and made some big saves.
"Look, I think Sinisalo's a good goalie, but at this moment in time, I do think Sam's probably a better goalie and probably better settled for these big games.
"Sinisalo's young. He's still learning. You've seen Colby Donovan, Dane Murray, Auston Trusty and even Liam Scales, quite young, as in the amount of games they've played and the Rangers vs Celtic games that they've played in.
"So I think that experience, and obviously being down in England, playing in huge games, will definitely help that back four.

"I think Cameron Carter-Vickers does come back in.
"But still, that experience in those big games, when to calm it down, when to settle, when you can go back to him and know that he's a trusted pair of hands."
Brown also expects Kasper Hogh to come back in at centre forward, and be flanked by Cmilo Duran and Haissem Hassan
"I do think Hogh will start. I love Duran through the middle because he reminds me of Kyogo and Maeda; he wants to get after it," he added.
"He's probably a better finisher than both of them, if I'm honest, and I think he's a fantastic player.
"I do believe he is at number nine.
"But for this game, I think Hogh comes in and Duran goes out on the left and Haissem Hassan goes on the right.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Duran was playing through the middle as well because the way he presses probably epitomises the way Celtic have been in the last probably seven or eight years.
"They've got a striker up there that can get after teams, that can cause problems, especially going away to Ibrox.
"I'd love to see Duran going through the middle and getting after people and not letting them settle early doors because pace is key and he will stretch the game.
"Rangers will try and lock Celtic in at times and if Duran's pace can go in behind, Hassan's pace can go in behind, they've got a lot to worry about at that back line and they might sit that a little bit deeper than what they do and it gives a little bit more gaps in between the midfield and centre-backs as well.”
